Airbrush Quick Disconnect Coupler 2 Airbrush Adaptors
Airbrush quick disconnect 2 airbrush adaptors are a direct fit for our airbrush quick disconnect couplers.
They have a 1/8BSP female fitting which screws directly on to the 1/8BSP male air inlet of an airbrush.
Each has a small o ring within to create an airtight seal.
This purchase does not include the actual quick disconnect coupler and is for the airbrush connectors only.
An airbrush quick disconnect is also known as an airbrush quick connect, airbrush quick release coupler and air hose quick release.
The airbrush quick disconnect allows you to remove your airbrush from the air hose whilst also automatically shutting off the air supply.
Pulling back on the spring loaded collar releases the connector which attaches to the airbrush air inlet.
An airbrush quick disconnect allows you to change airbrushes in a matter of seconds and totally removes the need to unscrew your air hose or having to also fully empty the air reserve in your compressor air tank.
The airbrush quick disconnect also makes cleaning of your airbrush, paint colour changes and storage of your airbrush much simpler as the air hose is no longer in the way or causing your airbrush to unbalance and spill it’s paint.
Airbrush quick release couplers are also often used, by those new to the hobby of airbrushing, as they provide a more comfortable and natural holding position.
The airbrush hose quick release has 1/8BSP fittings.
1/8 is approximately 9.35mm and the most size most commonly used with airbrushes.
BSP denotes British Standard Pipe and the pitch of the thread. Again, BSP is the thread pitch most commonly used with airbrushes.
1 x 1/8BSP Male Fitting – this end screws in to the 1/8BSP female fitting of your air hose.
1 x 1/8BSP Female Fitting – this end screws on to the 1/8BSP male fitting of your airbrush air inlet.
How Do I Use An Airbrush Quick Disconnect?
The airbrush quick disconnect could not be simpler to use – simply screw the male fitting in to your air hose and the female on to your airbrush.
Disconnect - Pull back on the spring loaded collar to eject the connector which is attached to your airbrush. This also automatically cuts of the air supply.
Reconnect - Push the connector back in to the airbrush quick disconnect body to reconnect. The spring loaded collar firmly holds the connector and airbrush in position whilst also automatically allowing the air supply to run.
