The VEDA 134 Airbrush is constructed from metal and has a 7cc side feed, gravity fed, paint cup. The metal cup is screwed into the side of the airbrush and is further secured by a locking screw collar.
The open cup design allows for easy cleaning and flushing for quick paint colour change.
The 134 is also supplied with a side feed 22cc siphon feed glass paint jar. The side feed siphon feed glass paint jar is simply pushed into the side of the airbrush and retained by a locking screw collar.
Both the paint cup and glass jar can be set in any user defined position. This means that the airbrush can be used in any position varying from the horizontal to the vertical.
The 134 airbrush is our most popular model with scale modelers as it is very versatile and capable of spraying larger areas due to the larger glass jar paint capacity.
Many of our customers use the 134 airbrush as a dedicated topcoat airbrush as it can be used at higher pressures and takes away the need for repeated top ups due to the larger capacity of the 22cc paint jar.
We also stock Spare Glass Jars which are air tight. These are a direct fit for the side feed siphon jar lid. Pre mixed paint can quickly and efficiently be swapped making work flow quicker.
The air brush air inlet is valve is a threaded male 1/8thBSP. 1/8thBSP is approximately 9.35mm but is sometimes referred to as 1/8th inch.
The air inlet valve is removable which makes cleaning, by use of an ultrasonic cleaner, safer.
Unnecessary full immersion of the air body valve in cleaning fluids will damage the o-rings and may cause the trigger movement to become sticky.
Please see the link to airbrush air hoses, which are a direct fit for this airbrush, at the bottom of this page.
The VEDA 134 Airbrush is fitted with an adjustable needle stop at the rear of the handle.
This feature allows the airbrush artist to create lines of an equal width as it controls how far the needle can be pulled back from the nozzle.
The VEDA 134 Airbrush can be used at air pressures between 15 – 50 PSI and is suitable for use with many air brush compressors.
They are a direct fit for any airbrush compressor in our Royal Air Brush Compressor range.
The VEDA 134 Airbrush is fitted with a Teflon Needle Packing Bush which is highly impervious to solvent based paints (spares are available within our airbrush spares section).
It is also fitted with rubber o-rings which can be affected by solvent based paints.
The level of affect depends on the strength of the solvent, exposure time and how well the airbrush is cleaned after use and storage.
We stock a fantastic range of replacement O-ring sets which are very low in price should you wish to use solvent based paint.
As authorised stockists of Iwata Airbrushes we have a number of Iwata Airbrushes which are fully resistant to solvent based paints. However, these air brushes are priced in excess of £250.
